A charcoal maker in Nakuru presses coconut and macadamia shell into hookah cubes and sells them to two very different buyers: lounges that burn through boxes every night, and shops that resell them. Both are spread across the whole country, both search by town, and both want the price before they want the story. A single brochure homepage answers none of that for someone in Mombasa or Kisumu typing “hookah charcoal near me.”
02 // THE APPROACH
Built a custom WordPress theme from the approved design and kept every word editable in wp-admin: products carry their own 30- and 60-cube box prices, and one settings screen holds the rest of the copy. The homepage makes the product case — two shells, a bigger 26 mm cube, what separates natural shell from cheap coal — then routes buyers two ways: WhatsApp for an order, and a lounge-or-retail enquiry form for trade supply. Forty-seven county pages share one template that states local prices, the towns delivered to, a trade call to action, and neighbouring counties in the same region, so each page is genuinely local rather than a find-and-replace. Titles, descriptions, Product and Offer schema, breadcrumbs, and the sitemap are all generated from the same price fields, so a price change in wp-admin reaches search results without anyone editing SEO text. An age gate, share images, and a proper favicon set finish it.
